It's hard to tell if these fine draft horses have ever had their feet trimmed. Yet they appear to move around without the slightest notion of pain. Could it be that they don't know any better? Or maybe, when their hooves are healed, they will be different animals? We're about to find out. Follow us on their journey to healthy hooves...

Pictured below are hooves from four Belgian mares we will begin to trim next week. They were recently moved to a new home where they will finally be able to receive proper hoof care. Nothing has been done to their hooves and their reluctance to offer a hoof for inspection tells us that we have quite a task ahead. We will post pictures of their progress as we begin to trim away years of unattended growth.
